Usually there is only cooking show per year, but due to the awesome response, a second cooking show has been added to the venue for Daytona. The event is sponsored by the News-Journal (those folks do a great job) and will be held on Sept 18th, at the Peabody Auditorium.

Last February, the event was moved to the Peabody and I think everyone agrees that it was a huge success. If you have never been to one, it’s a great way to spend an afternoon starting off with a “goody bag” received at the door. There are also free vendor samples, free prize give-a-ways and delicious recipes to try.

We will be there – haven’t missed one yet!! Good luck trying to get to our dip booth though. We usually have 8-10 of our dip mixes out for sampling and the line backs up fast. Thanks to all of our family and friends who come out to the event and help us out.

The tickets for the event are on sale now, and they have sold out every year. Hope to see you there.

For a first time effort, the Seafood Festival was an overall success, the local restaurants had a wide variety of seafood available all at very reasonable prices. I would have to say the snow cone guy was the busiest booth, he had one the size of a bowling ball! The vendor area was a little out of the way, and hopefully the organizers will work on that for next year. Should have taken some pics but I left my camera at home :)
